Seeking the Secret of Life: DNA

The Ellison Medical Foundation has awarded $25,000 to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory to help support the exhibit entitled “Seeking the Secret of Life: DNA” marking the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the structure of DNA and the role of New York scientists and institutions in the discovery. The exhibit, sponsored by the New York Public Library, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Columbia University, and The Rockefeller University, will be installed from February through September 2003 in the Science, Industry and Business Library of the New York Public Library. Historical photographs, documents, and objects will trace the history of the discovery and its impact on changing the direction of science and medicine.
